By the time read this, I hope that you have taken your family or friends to see the Denzel Washington movie 'The Great Debaters.' It has been a long time since a movie has been produced that actually helps counter racism white supremacy. Denzel obviously had a moment of clarity in producing this masterpiece. This movie among other things shows:
married Black couples in positive relationships,
portrays super intelligent, self-reliant, upwardly bound, moral, courageous, victorious Black people
exposes the history of willie lynch
Also, there is no buffoonery and there are no white saviors. Movies like 'The Great Debaters' are proof that we don't have to settle for the Black dehumanization Follywood typically creates.
When it comes to entertainment (i.e. radio, tel-lie-vision, film, literature, jusic and theater)
one has to question whether the superabundance of so-called homosexuality, violence,
nudity, buffoonery, vulgarity, historical distortions etc. is designed to keep the masses
of Black people distracted. If you have never wondered about this phenomenon then the
point has been made. There is a deliberate effort being made by beings that don't look
like us to suppress the innate intelligence in Black people. One of the biggest myths
amongst Black people is that racism white supremacy is about ignorance on behalf of
whites.
The responsibility of all Black people is to commit ourselves to the welfare of our race. What does it say about us when we are constantly tuned into 'Flava of Love,' "The Wire,' BET or Blaxploitation films predominately produced by zionist? We have to analyze Hollywood and its history of anti-Black programming. Black people have to not only desire better entertainment, but we also have to demand and produce it.
